Giving back is at the heart of Wolf Brewing Co.’s mission and vision.  Wolf Brewing Co. has developed unique ways of partnering with non-profit/charitable organizations, including the creation of our Flight for a Cause Program. Each month, a charitable organization that strives to enhance our community will be selected by the Wolf Brewing Co. team, and $1 from every beer flight sale will be donated to that non-profit/charitable organization.

Guidelines

 

Wolf Brewing Co. has established guidelines for donations that follow the Federal Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax guidelines. The organization receiving the donation must be a non-profit/charitable organization and provide a copy of their Federal Tax Exempt Certificate, 501(c)(3).  Prior to approval, Wolf Brewing Co. will confirm each organization’s registration using the Pennsylvania Department of State Charity Online Database and the Federal Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Exempt Organizations Database.  In addition, Wolf Brewing Co. may request a site visit prior to approval.

Specifically, our guidelines do not permit us to donate to the following:

 

Intermediary donations

Political parties

Organizations that discriminate by race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, national origin, disability, or any other status protected by Federal and State law

Research projects

 

Selection Process

 

Due to the high volume of requests, we will only be in contact with your organization's contact person if your organization is selected as one of the upcoming Flight For A Cause recipients. Only approved submissions will receive further communication and we are unable to confirm the status of requests or receipt of requests by telephone. Although we are honored to receive many charitable requests, we are not able to support them all.  Our team meets quarterly to review Flight For A Cause submissions and to select the upcoming beneficiaries.

 

As a part of the selection process, our team will research your organization to ensure that it is registered with the Pennsylvania Department of State as a charitable organization.  As a part of this charity search via the Department of State website, we will review how the overall funds are distributed within your organization - reviewing administrative costs vs. program funds.  If selected, we will also request a copy of your organization’s Federal Tax Exempt Certificate, 501(c)(3).

If your organization is chosen as a Flight For A Cause recipient, we will be in contact with the individual listed on your submission form to discuss the assigned month that your organization will be featured as the Flight For A Cause recipient.  If your organization is selected, we recommend utilizing your organization's social media accounts to promote that you are our Flight For A Cause recipient for the assigned month. With Management approval, your organization is also welcome to bring in signage, custom coasters or table tents, to display information about your charitable organization (at the expense of the charitable organization).
